How We Help

Australian Packaging Covenant (APC)

We were one of the first signatories to the APC, which promotes the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle and educate – principles we are actively committed to.

We run pre-consumer recycling programs in our factories such as an ink waste recovery program to reuse inks, rather than throw them away, and re-using production set-up materials.

We have implemeted an EMS at our Adelaide manufacturing site to minimise our environmental impact. We have also commenced with a plan to roll this out across the Detmold Group globally.

Our Environmental Philosophy

Being environmental is an evolving process, and we are working every day to improve our systems and processes to sustain the future of this planet we all share.

We are strongly committed to environmentally sound practices at all sites demonstrated by our implementation of an Environmental Management System. We work closely with our customers to ensure that their environmental objectives are being met.

Our Social Accountability

Corporate Social Responsibility is a big phrase for a very simple idea – taking care of the community in which we operate.

We hold our responsibility in high regard and our Social Accountability is audited regularly by major global customers. We focus on areas including fair hiring practices, safe working hours, fair compensation and benefits, and workplace safety in all manufacturing facilities.

We actively support a variety of charities including Ronald McDonald House, the Breast Cancer Council and the Red Cross.
